IEEE WIE ILS`19 Hosting

IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Summit as a global extension of the IEEE WIE ILC aims to harbor regional opportunities to cultivate networking, leadership and integration of diversity. IEEE WIE global continues the legacy of this WIE ILS in 2019 by providing an opportunity to 10 different regional IEEE WIE sections and branches across the world to host this summit within their communities. IEEE WIE PIEAS Affinity group under the IEEE WIE Islamabad Section has been awarded the privilege to become a part of this portfolio of global initiatives.

R10 Website contest!

IEEE PIEAS Student Branch's priceless efforts succeeded in highlighting the name of Pakistan, PIEAS & IEEE Islamabad Section on an international platform by winning the 1st Position in the IEEE R10 Website contest. IEEE PIEAS Student Branch scored the 1st position among the top three websites for the website contest across Region-10 and First position all across Pakistan.

Outstanding WIE Student AG Award!

Due to selfless hard work, dedication, passion, and kindness that lies in the hearts of women like Ms. Zoha Rashid, Former Chair WIE IEEE PIEAS AG & Ms. Rabia Khalid, Former Vice-Chair of WIE PIEAS AG, has lead to their recognition in the form of an award.
As the WIE PIEAS Affinity Group, we’re humbled on receiving the “Outstanding WIE Student AG Award” at PSYWC’18.

PSYWSC`18 - AI Problem Solving Contest Winner!

Rabia Khalid, former Vice Chairperson, WIE PIEAS AG, won the AI Problem Solving Contest held at IEEE PSYWSC'18. The judges received numerous solutions of the problem amongst which her solution stood the best.

Best Student Branch Award

Under the guidance of Mentor Dr. Haroon Ur Rasheed and due to hard work of Chairperson Zain Irfan, WIE Chair Zoha Rashid and CS Chair Muhammad Burhan IEEE PIEAS Student Branch was able to won the Best Student Branch award by Islamabad Section.

 

Best WIE Volunteer Award 2018!

Zoha Rashid, Former Vice-Chair IEEE WIE PIEAS AG, was honored with the Best WIE Student Volunteer Award 2017-18 (IEEE Islamabad Section) for her remarkable volunteer work and contribution for the society.

Twin Student Branch Project Competition!

The Twin Student Branch Project Competition was an initiative taken by the IEEE Islamabad Section in which two Student Branches were supposed to collaborate with each other to learn mutually and to synergize to create bigger impact. In this regard, the collaborative project of IEEE PIEAS and IEEE CUST Student Branch: ECEP- Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection, won the grant of $100 to carry out the project.

Student Section Representative (SSR) - Mr. Shangol Haider

The General Secretary of IEEE PIEAS Student Branch, Mr. Shangol Haider was awarded the coveted title of SSR, the highest student position in IEEE Islamabad section. The title comes as no surprise as Mr. Shangol Haider has worked tirelessly for IEEE and has been an important factor behind the success of IEEE PIEAS Student Branch.
